The IEC and IEEE are for the second time organizing a world-wide Challenge open to Academia from engineering, information technology, economic, political and environmental sciences.

They wish to encourage broad participation by teaching and research staff, and are therefore reaching out to you to ask for your help.

Online registration (http://www.iecieeechallenge.org) closes on

1 March 2012 and submissions are open until 1 July 2012.

1st Prize: USD 20 000

2nd Prize: USD 15 000

3rd Prize: USD 10 000

Prizes will be awarded in October 2012 at the IEC General Meeting in Oslo, Norway (winners are invited,all expenses paid). Detailed rules can be found on the http://www.iecieeechallenge.org website.

17th EURAS Annual Standardisation Conference will be about wil be held on the 18 - 20 June 2012 at Košice, Slovakia. It will be organised by the Faculty of Economics at Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica (UMB) & the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE).

EURAS 2011 conference takes place 8-10 June 2011 at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The 16th EURAS Annual Standardization Conference

will be held on the 8-10 June 2011

at the Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), Kaunas, Lithuania.

The main topic in 2011 will be Standards for Development. Other standards-related papers are also welcome. Please refer to the CfP (see below) for more information.

  • Notification: 28 Mar 2011 (extended)
  • Final paper due: 24 Apr 2011 (extended)
  • Conference: 8 - 10 Jun 2011
