•  ICES 2008 workshop (final program) took place February 21-22, 2008, at Gaithersburg, USA and was hosted by NIST.

• 3rd e-Business Interoperability Forum Conference 'Accelerating process improvement and innovation via e-Business standards' organized by CEN took place November 15-16, 2007 in Utrecht, Holland

• Workshop on “Standards and Conflict Resolution” (CfP; program) organized by EURAS, Centre of Conflict Resolution of the University of Hamburg, and Department of Business and Economics at TU Dresden took place October 26-27, 2007 in Dresden, Germany

• World Standards Day 2007 Conference "Standards and the citizen: contributing to society" organized by European Comission took place October 17, 2007 in Brussels, Belgium. Adjacent to the event (October 18-19) was CEN StandarDays seminar for people who want to know more about the European standardization system.

•  6th Conference on Applied Infrastructure Research (with a topic on standardization and technical harmonization in IT-industries) took place October 5-6, 2007 in Berlin, Germany.

• The first International Conference on «Standardization of Information Technologies and Interoperability» took place in Moscow, Russia, October 2-4, 2007

•  Conference on Standardization and Innovation in Information Technology (SIIT2007) took place October 18-19, 2007, University of Calgary, Canada.
