The joint 26th EURAS Annual Standardisation Conference takes place in Glasgow, Scotland, from 8-10 June 2022.
The conference venue is:

Accomodation
Local hotel
Set in Glasgow’s West End, The Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel is just 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre. The hotel is close to the Botanic Gardens, many bars, restaurants, shops and an 11 minute walk to The University of Glasgow.
Additional accommodation options
There is a range of hotels you can book for your conference stay. You may wish to stay in the centre of Glasgow as there are good transport / taxi links to the University (West End area) and there is a huge range of accommodation available. Within easy walking distance to the University is the Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel (11 minute walk).
On the other side of the University, near the River Clyde and close to the venue of the dinner are a number of modern hotels which are reasonably close to the University and can be accessed by public transport/taxi including:
- Radisson Red (25 minute walk)
- Hilton Garden Inn (26 minute walk)
- Crowne Plaza (30 minute walk)
These are close to the Finnieston area of Glasgow where there is a wide range of restaurants, though it may be advisable to book in advance as it is a very popular to area to eat in. Also in this area are a wide range of budget hotels.

Buses
First Glasgow Bus routes 4 and 4A stop directly outside the Main Building from the city centre. Other routes serve Dumbarton Road, Great Western Road and Byres Road. See First Bus website for timetables and journey planner www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/glasgow/
A seasonal tourist (open top) bus stops at the University (generally departs from George Square in Glasgow city centre).
Subway
This is a very safe method for travelling around Glasgow and is very useful for travelling in and out of the city centre. The nearest subway station to the University is Hillhead Station on Byres Road (approximately 5 minute walk from the University’s main building). On exiting Hillhead station, turn left onto Byres Road then take a second left onto University Avenue. Further information (inc. any service disruption) is available from www.spt.co.uk/subway
Local trains
The nearest suburban rail station is Partick, approximately one mile west of the University. It has an interchange with the subway and with bus services on Dumbarton Road. Further information is available from www.nationalrail.co.uk/

Please note, private hire taxis cannot be flagged on the street and must be booked in advance. Uber also runs a service in Glasgow.
